I've been making hats off and on the past couple months.

Challenge

I'm working on this little house for a magazine challenge and am out of ideas for decorating the outside.

credit card and acrylic paint

I've been having fun making background pages for art journaling using a credit card and acrylic paint. Even my 3 and 5 year old daughters got in on the action.

Upcoming classes

I am gearing up to offer some mixed media classes after an inspiring week at the CREATE retreat in Costa Mesa in May.

Eco-Art Journals
Make art journals from things you already have.
An old partially used planner or calendar,
grocery bags, cereal boxes, tissue paper,
used wrapping paper, magazines etc.



Lamination Laboratory
Laminate layers together for book covers, journal pages, purses, collage or other mixed media projects.
We will use tissue papers, waxed paper, plastic bags, and wax.

Art Journal

I wrote a bunch of prompts both of what to write about and how to add visuals. These are the first two pages

Mail ART and stamping

I'm stalled with my art mom projects. I haven't read or written any more poetry. I'm stalled in the middle of the "poetry tote" project because I am afraid of interfacing and sewing straps for the bag. How silly. My mom gave me samples of several products to try and I am not sure which is which. Mistyfuse, Lutradur, TAP, and iron on interfacing.


Anyway. I am on to other things thanks to several great books I got for my birthday. I don't feel like typing in titles and authors right now but one is on sending mail art and another is stamp and print lab. I am having fun stamping with lots of things and using the stamped papers to make envelopes and cards. I am also keeping track of what I sent to whom.
I'm not adding images because my scanner is in with the sleeping toddler. Some items I sent off with no visual record of what I did. Oh well.
